For the inhabitants of the city of Armentières (France), the morning of September 19 is truly unforgettable. What awaited them outside the window was not dawn, but a shiny black creature, an African legend.
In cities, seeing wild cats climbing and roaming rooftops, attics … is not a strange thing. Sometimes when you wake up in the morning you also see a cat lying in the window, so cute that you can’t even open the door for fear of losing sleep.
However, for some people in the town of Armentières (near Lille, France), the morning of September 19 was a vivid memory. Because what awaits them in front of the window at dawn, it is not an ordinary cat, but a black panther.
That’s right – it’s the Black Panther, the role model for the Black Panther superhero in this MCU. Remember in February 2019, how feverish the scientific world was when for the first time in 100 years the image of the legendary African black leopard was recorded. Yet one fine morning, people see the “legend” climb to the roof of France. It is incredible indeed.
According to French media, the leopard weighs around 20 kg, is estimated to be only 5 to 6 months old, roughly the size of a Labrado dog. He was lying on the roof of the house, his eyes staring into the distance. Then went down the steps of a building, went up to the apartment – where the 15-year-old lived. The poor little girl saw the leopard, 3 souls and 7 souls immediately ran away – which is completely understandable.
The emergency response team was dispatched to the city to deal with this story. According to Kader Laghouati of the Alliance for the Protection of Animals, it seems that this “legend” is someone’s darling. He shows no signs of aggression or attacking anyone. After the injection of the anesthetic, it was also noticed that his claws were neatly pressed, not sharp.
At present, the leopard has been transferred to the local zoo. Police in Armentières said they are looking for the owner of the leopard – which is listed as a wild animal and is a rare and prohibited animal. The authorities must find this person, find out how the leopard has been bred so far.
“After 20 years of work, I have never encountered this case. Snakes are numerous, and black panthers are the first.” – said a policeman.
