The Prophetic Lion in Thailand: Accurate Prediction of Football Matches

Many people were quite surprised when the lion in Thailand correctly predicted 100% of consecutive soccer matches. The zoo said the action was for entertainment and not to promote football betting. This lion is reminiscent of the octopus that predicted 100% of the 2008 World Cup matches

The white lion named Boy correctly predicted England’s defeat to Croatia and the Netherlands’ victory over Ukraine, according to the Daily Mail.

In the last two matches, the White Lion correctly predicted France’s victory over Germany and Portugal’s loss to Hungary.

In a video posted by staff at Khon Kaen Zoo, two pieces of meat with the national flags of the two competing teams are shown in front of a lion.

The Lions correctly predicted 4 matches at Euro 2020.

This scene is reminiscent of the octopus prophet Paul, who correctly predicted the German team’s results at Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup.

Octopus Paul correctly predicted 6 matches at Euro 2018 and two wrong predictions, including a match between Germany and Croatia in the group stage and the lost German final against Spain.

The lion selects the piece of meat with the flag of the corresponding country.

In 2010, the octopus Paul correctly predicted the 7 games of the German team, including the bronze medal. Octopus Paul also predicted that Spain would be the champion team, becoming famous around the world.

Octopus Paul died a few months after the end of the 2010 World Cup.

In response to Lion Boy, Zoo Manager Narongwit Chodchoi said, “Lion predictions for Euro 2020 are part of the zoo’s recreational activities, aimed at enriching animal behaviors.

“The lion who predicts the results of Euro 2020 is not meant to promote gambling, but simply entertainment,” Chodchoi said.
