Dogs in Canada came running to tease the hedgehogs on the farm and had their face covered in hedgehogs, one dog nearly died.
According to BuzzFeed, the incident happened about two weeks ago in Craven, Saskatchewan, Canada. The two injured children, Mahalo and Soliah, were raised by Dennis Mazur, a young farmer.
“Mahalo was the worst. The vet guessed he might have jumped all over the hedgehogs,” Mazur said. He had porcupine feathers pierced his lungs and almost died.
“ Miraculously, the doctor quickly operated on and discovered nearly a dozen feathers stuck in his lungs, and another, pierced through Mahalo’s heart, about 1.3 cm long.
Mahalo is recovering well, however, his owner is struggling with a medical bill of over $ 10,000 for his pet. To help Mazur, his friend created a Go Fund Me, asking for donations to help Mazur take care of the dogs. They hoped they could raise $ 1,000, but the amount was beyond imagination, nearly $ 12,000.
“It’s a good thing in this crazy world,” Mazur said. “Someone in Scotland even texted, saying ‘dogs are lovely, I am touched by your love for animals,’ and attached $ 5.
Mazur said he was not married and had no children. He treats dogs like children and is always there to take care of them.
