The world of species is diverse both in shape and size. Some are very scary, some are colorful, and many are very weird.
Halloween crab. This breed has a wide variety of colors. Halloween crabs mostly live in the waters of Mexico, Central America, and possibly as far away as Peru. They often roam the woods and feed on leaves or seeds. This breed has a hobby of eating at night. Although living mainly on the ground, this crab must return home to spawn.
Coconut crabs. It is one of the largest terrestrial arthropods. It weighs up to 4.1 kg. Coconut crabs live mainly on the islands of the South Pacific. They eat nuts, seeds, and sometimes coconuts. They are rather “weird” species when they have a special respiratory system, not a bib, not a lung, but something in between. Their sense organs are more like insects than crabs.
King of thorn crabs. This crab’s entire body is covered with a layer of thorns, which helps them disguise themselves and also helps them protect themselves from predators. This species lives at a depth of 730 m under the sea. They feed on starfish, other crab species and debris falling from above.
Brown boxwood crab. It is also a type of king crab. They have a strange way of breathing: when passing the anterior part of the shell, the upper V-shaped part and the adjacent leg will form a small hole, allowing water to flow into the lungs, under the sediments.
Soft coral crabs. These “monsters” are capable of very good camouflage when they live with soft coral reefs and eat plankton.
Zebra crab. This species lives mainly in the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean and Australia. This species has a peculiar shape, with dark, white, zebra-like streaks.
Orangutan crab. Belonging to the spider and crab family, this strange little creature resembles an orangutan. They have thick orange fur, two long legs that look like orangutan arms.
Porcelain crabs. These crabs are not really crabs, they are evolved shrimp with a crab appearance. They are quite fragile, fragile. This guy often loses legs while running away from enemies, and then those legs grow back. This species eats the mucus from algae plants, helping them to clean themselves, while the algae protects crabs from predators.
Crab Grapsus grapsus. This crab has a very fast speed, is able to move in 4 directions, and looks like a clown.
Red crabs. This species can live in both fresh and salt water areas. They have several ways of living: having an immune system, using toxins to capture prey.
