Surprised by the super little horse, weighing only 9 kg

The smallest horse in the world weighs only 8.6 kg, smaller than its best friend, the French Bulldog.

Faith Smith, a 55-year-old pony trainer from San Diego, USA, brought her unique Peabody home for easy maintenance.

Peabody is a great little 6 week old horse but weighs only around 8.6kg. He was abandoned by his mother because he was too small to reach his mother’s breast at birth.

Vets suggested feeding horse meat instead, but struggled because Peabody’s jaw was misaligned. Its former owner claimed that Peabody was also deaf and blind.

However, despite the problems Peabody faced, Faith Smith brought him home. And after a few weeks, the pony began to develop normally, its jaws aligned and was able to walk.

Today, Peabody is 6 weeks old and leads a luxurious life alongside three fierce bull dogs. French mastiffs not only have a fierce appearance, but are actually aggressive in nature if provoked.

At first, Faith Smith had a few worried uncles. It seemed impossible to reconcile, but Peabody and the three dogs living in the same house grew closer and closer.

Faith Smith said: “Initially the pony was well groomed, trying to fight for its life. But now it is much better, playing and living in harmony with the dogs of the family.” .

According to Faith Smith, Peabody is currently one of the smallest horses in the world at this age. It is so small that it is difficult to live in the natural environment. Faith Smith has decided to keep this pony forever and hopes he will grow up in the future.

She said: “Currently the ponies live in the house with the dogs. I will breed him and take care of him forever, but I hope he grows up to be able to spend time with other horses. Otherwise, it will always be a house horse. “

On average, a normal adult horse will be over 150cm tall and weigh around 680kg. An immature horse is half its size and weighs around 113 kg.

In the UK, Einstein’s horse is also a very special case. Born in New Hampshire, the Einstein horse is only 35.5cm tall and weighs 2.7kg. At the age of 5 months, Einstein was only 50 cm tall and weighed around 21 kg. Einstein belongs to a line of normal horses but encounters a mutation, so he develops abnormally.
