I picked up the “cosmic zombie” signal 4 million times stronger than Earth

Scientists have identified a whole new type of space zombie after analyzing an x-ray signal transmitted to the Swift Burst Warning Telescope (BAT) on June 3.

According to a report just published online on the Astronomers Telegram, run by NASA, the signal source named Swift J1555.2-5402 has been re-identified by the Neutron Star Inner Composition Discovery Telescope and the Ray Telescope. X of Swift (NASA), showing that it is a neutron star only 20 km in diameter.

Despite its small size, it weighs … twice as much as our Sun and carries 4 million times the energy of the Earth. Compared to normal neutron stars, this new neutron star is up to 1000 times more powerful.

A neutron star originally a “cosmic zombie” is an energetic corpse after a massive star runs out of energy and explodes. This new type of neutron star is believed to have formed from a star 8 to 30 times larger than the Sun.

According to Science Alert, only 24 neutron stars have been identified and 6 other “candidates” are under study. We know they were created by a giant star that died, but we cannot explain how this death creates such super energy.
