Time and technology make these items look completely different from what we know today.

The original computer mouse seemed rudimentary, bulky, and difficult to use. The first computer mouse was presented to the public at an exhibition in California in 1968. The American engineer Douglas Engelbart invented it.

The early vacuums seemed quite heavy and were more likely to pick up dust than them. The vacuum cleaner was first invented in the 60s of the 19th century, and the models we know, with electric motors, were introduced in the early 20th century.

The ATM prototype was designed by Luther George Simjian in 1939. However, due to certain flaws, it was not used until more than 20 years after its invention. And it wasn’t until the 1960s that people started using them. The photo above shows actor Reg Varney using the first ATM in North London, England.

It’s hard to see it as an air conditioner in the first photo. It is one of the devices that requires many attempts to invent and improve upon throughout human history. In 1842, the American physician John Gorrie invented the prototype of the modern air conditioner, a compressor to cool the air he used in his clinics. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough money to build these machines. But other inventors supported and inherited his idea, and in 1902 the first electric air conditioner appeared.
