Leopard is carelessly caught in the 110 kV power line in India while he is busy hunting his prey and is shocked to death.
The two-year-old leopard was shaken to death in the village of Kherli Lala on the morning of June 20. It is the 11th largest cat to die in the Gurugram and Faridabad regions in the past decade. Villagers found the leopard’s body hanging from a 110 kV power line near a tree at 6:15 a.m. and reported it to police.
Wildlife conservation officials arrive at 9 a.m. and slaughter the cheetah after the power goes out. The autopsy results confirmed that the leopard weighing around 30 kg died from burns to many internal organs.
According to Shyam Sunder Kaushik, a forest officer in Gurugram district, the leopard could come in contact with electrical wires while trying to capture prey. “The leopard’s body is caught in a tree branch. It can climb a tree after a monkey. Its mouth is caught in electric wires, causing an electric shock,” Kaushik speculated.
“I saw the big cat hanging on the wire in the middle of the temple path. When I called for help, many residents came. We noticed that the leopard was dead. Her lower jaw was badly burned, her mouth was burnt. and the ears are bleeding, ”said Satvir Singh, the first person in the village to see the leopard’s body.
The power line was pulled through the forest two years ago to supply the temple of Neelkanth about 150 meters away. There are numerous leopard claw marks on the tree. Near the base of the tree is a lake, attracting many monkeys, peacocks and wildebeest to this area to drink the water daily. Local people believe that a water shortage in the area prompted the leopard to approach the village.
