March 6, 1869: Mendeleev publishes the periodic table of the elements
Dmitry Mendeleev was a Russian chemist, who was the first to find the law and classify chemical elements. On March 6, 1869, Mendeleev created the Periodic Table of the Elements, classifying the types of elements and organizing them according to a periodic process. In the final 1871 revision, Mendeleev left some blank spaces on his periodic table and predicted that these elements would be found in the future.
