The little mouse stood horizontally on its hind legs, stared into the cat’s eyes a few inches from it, and let out a fierce cry. Stunned by the majesty of the animal that should have been its prey, the cat dropped its tail.
This is the true story that Wendy Rothwell witnessed in her backyard in Swavesey, Cambs, England.
According to the Daily Mail, in a recreation of the famous cartoon Tom and Jerry, the little mouse turns into an aggressive Jerry mouse when the cat dares near his house.
The mouse stood up on its hind legs and howled at the cat, even though it was only inches from death’s muzzle. The mouse proves that it is not afraid of cats by looking, not running.
“Oddly enough, the rat straightened up and appeared to want to roar in front of the cat,” said Ms. Rothwell, 45. “The cat is much bigger and can swallow it at any time, but the mouse shows no fear.”
“He seems ready to do anything to protect his home. He is possibly the most powerful rat in this country.”
