Science just has a new hypothesis on 5-dimensional space

Scientists predicted some kind of fictional particle that could send humans into 5-dimensional space.

In The European Physical Journal C published in January, theoretical physicists from Johannes Gutenberg University proposed a new hypothesis on 5-dimensional space.

Specifically, scientists have predicted that a new type of fictional particle, if there is one, will help people open up a warped space. From there, they were able to find “precise explanations” of dark matter, fermion subatomic particles, and many other cosmic mysteries.

This impressive result has helped to elucidate the unknowns that have challenged the scientific community for many years.

The research was carried out by two theoretical physicists, Javier Castellano and Matthias Neubert, at the Johannes Gutenberg University. Adrián Carmona, member of the Athenea3i research group of the University of Granada, collaborates with them.

“We have been studying similar topics for a long time. Our initial goal was to explain the origin of dimensionally distorted fermions, ”the team shared with Vice.

Researchers have long raised the question of whether four-dimensional space is the only space created by the universe. They are now able to write a 5 dimensional spatial equation, which shows an additional dimension that affects reality and the universe.

The study also redesigned the scalar field – a quantum field responsible for providing mass to particles – for the dummy particle this time around. They said his model had a similarity to the famous Higgs field.

According to the scientists’ hypothesis, this hypothetical particle is related to the fermion and has a scalar field similar to the Higgs particle.

“We find the scalar field of the new particle very interesting, the additional space created is not trivial,” said the team.

“Since the new particle has quantum properties similar to Higgs, we believe that the two particles can be mixed together. This means that their quantum mechanical wave functions will be intertwined. The desire to find a way to combine the two seeds helped us to carry out this study ”, they added.

Physicists believe that this fictitious particle could create a “special window” that helps them access dark matter. As a result, the new particles will become an intermediate force connecting dark matter with ordinary matter.

“This is not an exaggerated idea. We know that ordinary matter is made up of elementary fermions. The dark matter hypothesis is made the same way. If the extra dimension exists, we can observe the structure of dark matter through ordinary matter, ”the physicists explained.

According to Vice, inferences drawn from the model of the new fictitious particle coincide with research evidence for dark matter in the universe. Thanks to the mathematical work generated, future scientists will be able to access dark spaces.

Currently, this scientific group is carrying out the study of new fantastic particles and space in 5 dimensions. They expressed their determination to prove its existence.

“Finding these particles will help us gather useful information such as the mass of dark matter and how they affect the particles that humans have known,” the team said.

In 2012, the Higgs was discovered by the “Large Particle Accelerator” (LHC) and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in Switzerland. However, the LHC will not be used in this research because it is too large for the research laboratory.

Scientists think they are looking for a different solution, for example by observing gravitational waves.

“We looked at a case that we hadn’t covered before. These are the new particles that can produce gravitational waves that we can measure with future devices. If so, this type of particle will play an important role in the history of cosmology, ”the team said.
