İlhan Budak decided to live in a mountain hut in Bursa for 7 years because of his sports hobby and hatred of technology.
İlhan Budak, 35, was born in Kahramanmaraş (Turkey), was taken to the dormitory of the Child Protection and Social Services Agency in Bursa City after losing his father as a child.
Budak left the center at the age of 18 and went to live in the mountains for a long time due to his interest in sport.
The place he chose to stay was a forest with no roads in the area called Erikli Yayla, 1 km from the city’s Zeyniler district in the Uludağ Mountains. Budak had already participated in marathons organized all over Turkey and won many medals, after climbing the mountain he continued to train by running, playing sports.
Budak earns his living by working in rural areas and buying food with his own money. He lived away from technology for many years without even using a cell phone.
Budak said he was very happy to live in the mountains: “I chat with people who come here to climb the mountain. I participated in the Istanbul marathon. There is also the Uludağ Marathon, which is 70 km away. Show off this long 14 hour road race.
“I ran between the towns of Bursa-Yalova. I stay away from technology. My friends come to tell me when a marathon will take place. I will be there if it is appropriate,” he said. declared.
This man said he was very careful with his own diet. Budak said: “One day I am doing weights, one day I am running. I am here because I love nature. I don’t think about staying away from people.”
“The weather in the dirty city, everything here is natural. I also try to finish high school openly. I’m a good marathoner. I have a lot of medals,” he added.
Budak decided to settle in the mountains in 2013. There is no way to go but he lives. Living in the wild, he also took care of the forest.
Sometimes there were villagers nearby to visit him and vice versa. Everyone takes care of each other. “I keep myself in good health by walking among the trees in Uludağ every day,” Budak said.
“I took part in the longest marathon in Bordum. It was about 150 kilometers,” Budak showed off his medals.
