The cat has an eye color that changes over time

The Ivory cat has become a social networking phenomenon in the UK thanks to its eyes that change color over time.

Ivory, 10, has fluorescent yellow and green eyes. However, when the weather changes, these two colors turn bright yellow and orange.

Ivory was adopted by Gabriela Carvalho, 28, a nursing student from Calgary, Alberta, Canada a few years ago.

“I get a lot of comments about her eyes. They change color depending on the weather. I’ve never seen this in animals before,” the girl said.

Pigmentation disorders can be the cause of your cat’s eye color. Usually one eye is blue while the other eye is green, brown, or yellow.

The cause of this strange phenomenon is unknown, but it is often hereditary.

This condition does not affect the cat’s vision or hearing. However, there are still cases of deafness in these children.
