Germany: giant carp caught

A carp weighing 38.15 kg, captured by Dieter Markus Stein on December 17, 2006, has been officially recognized as the largest carp in the world that has fallen into a trap.

The German fish hunter Dieter, who had “aimed” at this giant carp for a long time, was determined to catch it in 2007. Yet soon as a Christmas present, after a tiring struggle today, December 17, Dieter defeated the animal with its last efforts.

The carp were immediately weighed in the presence of 14 people from many local fishing clubs. 38.15 kg in total – breaks all carp weight records.
