The oldest bird in the world lays eggs

Despite surviving 62 springs, a gull has been laying eggs for six years.

At 62 years old, a female albatross named “Wisdom” is considered the oldest bird on the planet. Despite this, he has been laying eggs for six years, Discovery reported.

Wisdom is one of the following topics in the North American Nesting Bird Program (NABBP). “This albatross breeds regularly and flies to the Pacific every year,” said Bruce Piterdzhon, director of the NABBP.

Chandler Robbins – a biologist – discovered and put a bracelet on Wisdom’s leg in 1956, when he hatched eggs on an island in the Pacific Ocean. At that time he lived for at least 5 years.

The lifespan of seagulls in the natural environment is about 15 to 20 years. They can fly continuously and land only for spawning.
