Persian cats give birth to two heads in Thailand

A Persian cat in Thailand gave birth to a rare two-headed kitten. The owner of this cat is determined to keep them alive.

The Bangkok Post reported that a Persian cat in Ratchaburi province, Thailand, gave birth to a two-headed kitten.

Chabaprai Nilpet, 52, from Moo 2 Village, Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand – the cat’s owner, said the cat mother gave birth to a normal kitten on December 10. However, after that, the mother cat seems to have trouble giving birth.

Ms. Chabaprai took the mother cat to a clinic. Here the vet performed an operation for the cat at the cesarean section. The mother cat gave birth to two more kittens and one of them had two heads, surprising everyone, Chabaprai said.

The two-headed cat was having difficulty breathing, so the vet stimulated his lungs, making the cat healthier.

Ms Chabaprai said she brought the cat home and used a syringe to feed it because the cat could not nurse directly from the mother cat. She also regularly rubs her chest to stimulate the cat’s lungs.

“I named the left end Thong (gold) and the right end Ngern (silver). I’ll take care of it as best she can live as long as possible. I’ve never seen one.” Strange cat like that, ”Ms. Chabaprai said.

Ms. Chabapral is a cat lover and she has around 10 cats at home.
