5 fascinating facts about the universe will “take away” everything you know about this area

The universe has a lot of mysteries, but if we won’t learn it, we will never know.

There is so much we don’t know about this vast, magical universe. It contains secrets that if you don’t learn you might not know all this life.

1. The solar system is also raining – but not like you might think

Rain, but it’s a meteor shower. These are the celestial debris from the solar system falling to Earth, weighing up to tons!

Most evaporate along a beautiful path, forming the shooting stars that we often dream of. But they are not scary, because most of the time these comets and asteroids drift in interplanetary space, between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

In addition, it is common for a meteor to fall on Earth, but most of it was burnt by friction with the atmosphere.

2. The sun may interfere with your device.

Beautiful, powerful and unpredictable – it was the solar storm. This fact is proven by the greatest solar storm of 1859.

Rays of light have been emitted from the Sun, they travel through space at the speed of millions of kilometers per hour. They interfere with telegraph systems and even cause large-scale electric flashes in the United States and Canada.

If solar storms of this magnitude hit Earth again, they could disrupt satellite orbits, scramble global telecommunications signals, and there’s nothing humans can do to stop them!

3. A total solar eclipse will probably never happen again!

The Moon covering the Sun will create a partial or total eclipse. However, the eclipse is slowly disappearing, as the moon’s orbit increases by about 4 cm per year. In the next 600 million years, the Moon will be so far away from us that it will no longer be large enough to completely cover the Sun.

In other words, a total eclipse will never happen.

4. It only takes you an hour to travel in space!

By calculating the speed of a spacecraft and its altitude above the ground, Hungarian and American physicist Theodore von Kármán discovered a boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. He named it Karman Line.

The limit of the Karman Line is just 100 kilometers from sea level – the equivalent of 250 laps around an Olympic track! This means that with the speed of a conventional rocket, it takes about an hour to be officially called a “space astronaut”.

5. Completely different from what we think, Neil Armstrong’s imprint will not be on the Moon forever

Unlike the Earth, the Moon is not subject to wind or water erosion due to the lack of air and water on its surface. Therefore, many people believe that Neil Armstrong’s imprint here will last forever.

However, the sun’s wind – a flow of charged particles – will change the wind that usually does. This means that this imprint will disappear over time.

But this phenomenon will not happen overnight. Armstrong’s footprint on the Moon will last for at least 100 million years until the rocks are eroded.
