What happens to the body when drinking carbonated drinks?

When introduced into the body, carbonated soft drinks will affect many parts continuously within 60 minutes.

According to technician Nguyen Pham Phuong Trang, Department of Microbiology, Thu Duc City Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City), when drinking carbonated carbonated drinks, in the first 60 minutes, the body will have many reactions.

The reason is that in soft drinks, the essential flavoring ingredient is corn syrup. They contain a large amount of fructose and are only metabolized in the liver. This is associated with many serious health problems such as obesity, heart, and diabetes. This drink is one of the main causes of obesity, type II diabetes and tooth decay.

In the small experiment of an American pharmacist, once loaded into the body, carbonated drinks act continuously for 60 minutes.

First 10 minutes

About 35 grams of sugar will make the body drunk. You may feel nauseous right away because it is too sweet. However, a scent called phosphoric acid suppresses this sensation.

20 minutes

The large amount of fructose in carbonated drinks as it enters the body will overpower the metabolic activities of the liver. This damages the liver and starts converting the sugar into fat that is harmful to the body.

40 minutes

At this point, your body has absorbed just enough caffeine from the soft drink. The pupils start to dilate and help you feel more alert. Blood pressure will rise as the liver works very quickly to absorb and metabolize sugars. Additionally, consuming caffeine will suppress the nervous system and prevent the body from feeling drowsy.

45 minutes

The body begins to produce dopamine, the nerve stimulant that produces euphoria. The National Center for Biotechnology Information (USA) shares caffeine which works and functions much like heroin. It makes you feel like you want to drink carbonated drinks.

After 60 minutes

Phosphoric acid begins to bind with calcium, magnesium and zinc in the intestine, speeding up metabolism. It is not really good for the body due to the fact that they are overactive. High levels of sugar and artificial additives push calcium out of the body, which weakens the bones.

After the elimination of calcium, magnesium, zinc and other substances essential for human bones, caffeine will make the body nauseous. Then the drinker will suffer from a lack of sodium, electrolytes and water.

Usually after an hour the body returns to its gloomy and tired state. Thirst began to reappear, and this was the last warning sign of dehydration.

Experts recommend that people limit the use of carbonated non-alcoholic drinks. When your body needs extra sugar, you should choose fresh lemon juice, green tea … with a small amount of sugar to both meet the needs and be healthy.
