The universe can be a neural network

This world can be thought of as a neural network, and each person corresponds to a node in him.

The core of the idea that could simply be explained was that all phenomena observed in the universe could be produced by a neural network. This means that the universe can be thought of as a nervous system.

Vitaly Vanchurin, professor of physics at the University of Minnesota Duluth, published a research article titled “The World as a Neural Network” on arXiv last August.

According to the study, the entire universe is analyzed at its most basic level as a neural network. There are now 2 defined kinetic degrees of freedom. The former are mutable variables such as the weight matrix, the latter are hidden variables such as the state vector of a nerve cell.

Vanchurin’s work essentially attempts to explain the gap between classical physics and quantum physics. Quantum physics has helped humanity explain the phenomena that occur in the universe on a very small scale.

However, on a larger scale, we are forced to use classical physics to describe the phenomenon because we lose the connection by switching between the two perspectives of quantum physics and classical physics.

There have been many theories about how the universe was formed. For many people, this world was born from a creator, while another assumption is that we live in computer simulations. These views belong to the two most common explanations, “Multi-worlds” or “A hidden solution” and when combined, Vanchurin proposed his hypothesis.

“This assumption is really daring. I’m not saying that neural networks might be useful in analyzing or finding physical laws, but rather, this hypothesis describes how the surrounding world works. In this regard, it can be considered as the theory of things. And we can prove that is wrong by presenting a phenomenon that the neural network cannot describe, ”explains Vanchurin.

Vanchurin stressed that he added nothing to the hypothesis of the existence of the multiverse. According to him, this hypothesis contains many interesting philosophies.

Assuming humans are just knots in this nervous system, what is its main function? Is the entire universe an independent system or is it just part of an even larger system? Or maybe we are just one of the billions of universes that exist in another vast universe.

The process of “training” an AI’s nervous system can go through millions of loops, before it’s really complete. And there is also the possibility that our world is just a small loop in a macroscopic apparatus of God.
