Astronomers have found signs of life on a planet very close to the human solar system.
Recently, astronomers have discovered planets capable of creating conditions for life in outer space. These two planets are located approximately 4.3 light years from Earth, which is equivalent to approximately 40.6 trillion km.
The area of the habitable planet is not far from the Sun.
According to the initial assessment, the planet revolves around the star Alpha Centauri and forms the closest galaxy to the solar system. Previously, this area was thought to be lifeless because the star’s surface tempera
ture is so high, around 1,500 degrees Celsius.
The planet with signs of life is called Alpha Centauri Bb. Discovered in 2012, but at that time, scientists denied the existence of this planet because the received signals are unclear.
Recently, however, scientists at the University of Cambridge came to a different conclusion. Through observations with the Hubble Telescope in 2013 and 2014, they confirmed the existence of Alpha Centauri Bb. It is a planet roughly the same size as Earth, but a year’s time does not last only 20.4 days.
This discovery is considered extremely important as it opens a new phase in the process of finding extraterrestrial life. Many Earth-like planets even exist in the solar system but are “ignored” because the received signals are not clear.
