“Ninth planet”: 1 year is equivalent to 20,000 Earth years

Scientists have just discovered traces of another planet in the solar system, hidden behind Neptune and surrounded by frozen objects.

Since Pluto is no longer considered a planet, scientists agree that our solar system has eight planets. But new evidence suggests that he actually has nine planets.

The mysterious planet that scientists have temporarily named “The Ninth Planet” is in the outermost part of the solar system, further away than Neptune which humans cannot observe.

In the latest statement from Quanta, the team at the California Institute of Technology (USA) said that according to calculations, the mysterious planet is 4 times the size of Earth and 10 times more massive.

Very far from the Sun, it would have a giant orbit and would take a long time to circle the sun all around. So a year on this planet would be 10,000 to 20,000 years on Earth.

The research stems from the California Institute of Technology’s 2016 discovery, when they observed objects identified as icy rocks, moving in an orbit far from the edge of the solar system. that Neptune is the most distant planet.

This orbit shows that icy objects can be affected by the gravity of a planet. Since then, they have found more evidence of the existence of the ninth planet.

Astrophysicist and team member Dr Konstantin Batygin said they are nearing the end of their journey to find the mysterious planet. They have now switched to the Hawaii-based Subaru Space Telescope and hope to be able to observe the ninth planet in the near future.

This is not the first group of scientists to come up with the “Ninth Planet” theory or evidence for it. Many astronomical agencies – space around the world are also rushing to find this mysterious earth, including NASA.
