Close-up of majestic mountains on mars

In the new NASA image sent by the crawler, Mars has majestic mountains and vast deserts very similar to Earth!

This is the real image you will see when you walk on Mars. Scientists have only changed the brightness slightly so that you can see the landscape better, as if it is lit by sunlight.

These images are the result of a five-year adventure by Mars Curiosity Rover, NASA’s exploration helicopter robot that landed on Mars from August 5, 2012.

Although only recorded for almost 18 km2, but clips and images released by NASA are enough to show us that the terrain of Mars is very similar to Earth.

This is land belonging to Gale Crater, with a diameter of over 154.5 km, with interesting places such as the Peace Vallis Canal, Yellowknife Bay, Ireson Hill … and in the distance are majestic mountains. Kilometer.

Currently, Mars Curiosity Rover is still completing its mission with the greater objective of finding a site called the Clay Unit – which contains many minerals formed from clay.

Also regarding Mars, a new study published in the scientific journal Nature Astronomy seems to have explained how water disappears from the Martian surface.

These are planetary dust storms that cause water vapor to travel to higher altitudes and increase its mass by up to 100 times, meaning both air and water are lost in space. The research is based on recordings from NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor.

Previous studies have shown that billions of years ago, Mars was once a blue planet like Earth with huge oceans and possibly life that once existed.

Unfortunately, today the surface of the planet has dried up. However, scientists have also found evidence that there may still be groundwater on this planet.
