China sent Hang Nga 5 launcher to the moon

After bringing samples from the Moon to the Hang Nga 5 mission orbiter, the launcher returned and crashed into the Moon to avoid “garbage” in space.

Mission Hang Nga 5 has many specialized vehicles, serving different phases such as landing on the moon, collecting specimens, and flying back to Earth. This means that some vehicles will no longer have value by the time they complete their missions.

Launchers are parts that help transport equipment and samples that fly from the moon to orbiting ships. Immediately after completing the handing over of the sample item, the Chinese allowed the vehicle to freely fall on the Moon.

According to SpaceNews, the Chinese Space Agency’s Hang Nga 5 mission control group activated the launcher at 5:59 p.m. EST. The launcher completed its mission and crashed on the moon at 6.30 p.m.

The process of landing, collecting specimens, and transferring to an orbiter is complete in less than a week. This is considered a very quick task to accomplish. It is expected that in about a week the samples will be returned to Earth.

The crash of a launch ship on the Moon is considered a remarkable decision of the Hang Nga 5 mission. This space mission comes with a lot of equipment and vehicles. Once the devices are done their job, it’s a bad idea to fly them over the orbit of the Moon. According to BGR, this will create a lot of garbage in space. However, crashing a spaceship on the moon was also not deemed the right course of action.

Compared to the amount of man-made waste orbiting the Earth, there is very little space on the Moon. If more and more jobs leave equipment and components, “lunar waste” will become a big problem.

Hang Nga 5 is the third Chinese spacecraft to land on the moon and the first to take off from the planet and return to Earth, according to AP.

Hang Nga 5 landed in the Storm Sea area of the Moon on December 1. The mission of this spaceship is to collect about 2 kg of rocks on the Moon and bring them back to Earth.

If successful, this will be the first time the spacecraft has brought the specimen back to Earth since the same mission was carried out by a Soviet spacecraft in the 1970s. Before that, the American astronauts from Apollo. brought back rocks from the Moon weighing tens of kilograms.
