The Guinness World Record has recorded that the Australian reef dwarf goby, with a lifespan of 59 days, is the shortest living fish on the planet.
Professor David Bellwood, from James Cook University, who filed this dossier, said the goby only lives the adult life for 21 days and enjoys the world in a hurry, mainly due to the dangers of l ‘enemy.
“They were eaten by the enemy, at a rate of population loss of around 8% per day,” Bellwood said. “If you have a herd of about 10, then most of the day your herd loses a limb.”
Each female will lay 3 litters, that is, if she tries to live up to her real life.
