Identify 7 habitable planets

The team of experts from the Laboratory of Extraterrestrial Life at the University of Puerto Rico said that so far, 7 planets have been identified which may be inhabited outside Earth and that number could increase in the near future. to come up.

According to lead researcher Abel Mendez, scientists have made great strides in finding planets outside the solar system.

Currently, they are examining 27 newly found planets to come to the exact conclusion. Meanwhile, HARPS (High Precision Telescope) in Chile and the Kepler Space Telescope are quickly searching for a new extrasolar planet every month.

The team primarily assessed the potential for life on a planet using three metrics: the change in star energy received by the planet, its mass and size.

So far, most of what we know about an extrasolar planet has come from simple physical assessments. This new study added chemical and biological assessors.
