The solar system is not what we think it is

According to AP, scientists from the United States Aerospace Agency (NASA) said on Jan. 31 that the universe outside our solar system is different and strange than people think.

The above statement is made after observations from the Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) orbiting Earth to study the edge of the solar system. It is the first probe to directly measure interstellar matter transmitted through the solar system.

The results suggest that there are more free-flying oxygen atoms in our solar system than in the immediate outer space.

Scientists cannot explain the cause of the phenomenon, but believe that it is possible that this type of vital element is hidden in dust and ice.

The IBEX was launched in 2008 and circles the Earth for 321,855 km to detect particles transmitted through the solar system.

Although the sun and the planets block the passage of dangerous cosmic rays, neutral molecules can still pass, allowing IBEX to establish their distribution.
