Watch the “misty sunset” over Saturn’s moon

NASA has just released two stunning new images of the Titan from Saturn’s Moon – where scientists believe it qualifies for extraterrestrial life.

In the first photo, Titan appears surrounded by a strip of multicolored light. Scientists call this the “misty sunset”. In the second image, Titan’s entire moon glows with magical blue, green, and orange-yellow light.

Beneath that haze is a planet that could be considered a nearly complete copy of Earth, with rivers, seas, and an atmosphere considered standard enough to form life.

These stunning images are one of the “relics” of Cassini – the spacecraft that ended its 20-year journey to Saturn in 2017, as it plunged into Saturn’s atmosphere.

Based on parameters sent back to Earth over long distances through space, these images were recorded from March 2005. At the time of recording, Cassini was 33,083 km from Titan Moon.

Titan on Saturn’s Ice Belt

The data Cassini sent back to Earth proved that beneath the atmosphere there could be many molecular structures that could be the raw materials for building complex organic masses – the organisms themselves. extraterrestrial. It can be said that Titan is compared to the image of the early Earth, when the first reactions to create life began to occur on Earth.

NASA said that in order not to pollute Saturn and its moons, including the precious Titan, scientists calculated that Cassini would use up any remaining fuel before it fully ignites in the atmosphere. of Saturn.
