A rare pink rainbow appears in the sky

The photographer stumbles upon a rainbow of roses, a phenomenon that usually occurs at dawn and dusk, against a blue sky in Scotland.

Photographer Sinclair Cunningham arrived in the town of Kinghorn, Fife, Scotland on the morning of September 3, intending to photograph the sunrise.

He was surprised to see a pink rainbow and quickly photographed it.

“I turned around and grabbed a rainbow of roses. I was in the right position to photograph him falling on the kissing trees. The conditions were perfect.

In front of me was the rising sun, behind me was a beautiful blue sky is the bottom of the rainbow, ”Cunningham described.

This is the first time he has encountered this scene in 8 years of photography. He plans to include this special photo in his calendar this year.

The pink rainbow usually appears at dawn or dusk due to the position of the sun. At that time, sunlight was forced through a denser atmosphere, CNN meteorologists Brandon Miller and Nash Rhodes explain.

This causes refraction only of the red wavelengths of the rainbow color spectrum.
